Recognised by Crafts Council and Wayne Hemmingway as ‘One to Watch’
Inspired by the British countryside, Artist Lucy Wray BA of Thrift Design explores and develops unwanted materials to create Art from salvaged resources.
“The materials I use are varied from single use plastic to Harris Tweed but they all share one thing in common. They’ve been deemed no longer useful.
My pieces are very much informed by the materials I collect. I hope my creative work helps people to appreciate nature with a small reminder of how we are negatively impacting our shared environment”.
My current portfolio comprises of Cards, Gifts, Brooches, Contemporary Craft and Art.
