After completing a Fine Art Degree at Staffordshire University I set up May I Design. Using a domestic sewing machine I create free motion machine embroidered designs which are then printed onto stationery and homewares.
Everyday objects such as wellington boots, beer bottles and front doors (I’m a little bit obsessed with doors) are turned into quirky motifs. Nothing is too mundane for me to create a happy, stitched design.
I also run workshops encouraging others to fall in love with the wonderful, wobbly lines created by this sewing technique.
This is my first time exhibiting at the BCTF and I am very excited to be showing my new collection of greeting cards, prints and homewares.
